GT 40 P 1086
Based in Southern Florida, this original GT 40 Mark I is being offered for sale
Offers may be considered.

Holman & Moody has worked on this car and knows the complete history
of this very original light weight wide body GT 40.
Built by J W Automotive this car is the last original Mark I built by them.
Painted in the famous Gulf orange & blue to match the other J W Automotive Le Mans winning cars
#1086 has the correct wide rear and light weight body panels that make this car a valued addition
for any collection.
GT 40 P 1086 has been shown at most of the major concours in the USA, winning a number of awards.
As part of a private collection, GT40 P 1086 has had one owner for the last 15 years, and is only now being offered for sale.
This Mark I is complete with a Ford dry sump 302 C, a ZF transaxle, front dry sump tank, original design magnesium up rights, Girling CR brakes, vented rotors
GT 40 P 1086 has many very rare and hard to find original parts installed when built.
The limited track use means that this GT 40 has not had to be restored or rebuilt.
GT 40 P 1086 is truly correct example of the great racing machines as they were
when they started at Le Mans.
As a show car, it is in very good condition and would not require any service when purchased.





This GT 40 is under contract and we can not take offers at this time.

Assembled by Holman & Moody, this unique Superformance Mark II
has set the new high standard for quality and authenticity.
Commissioned by Grant Aitken as a tribute to his friend Chris Amon
and the late Bruce McLaren for their famous Le Mans win 1966.
This high performance art was driven by Chris Amon in New Zealand and is featured in Ford promotional videos and interviews with Chris Amon.
Featured in the July, 2016 issue of Classic Driver magazine.
This Mark II is complete with a Ford dry sump 427 FE, a T-44 transaxle, front dry sump tank, original design magnesium up rights, Girling CR brakes, vented rotors
and many other changes to make this a very special GT 40 Mark II.

Safir GT40 Mark V #1099.
This is new ( Only 7 Miles total ) GT 40 was hand built for/by Jim Rose.
One of two GT40s with an L (light weight ) chassis number GT40/L-1099
Located in England, This car is being offered for sale at 300,000.00.
The 7 miles were up the hill at Goodwood some years ago.
This is a chance to get one of the best GT40s as a new car.
Every part was numbered with the 1099 ID number.
Assembled with the correct 289 engine with Webers built by Holman & Moody
and new ZF transaxle
Thought to be the lightest GT 40 ever built at 890 Kilos.
